How you make others feel about themselves, says a lot about you.
Ever heard of the saying “what Susie says of Sally says more about Susie than about Sally”? If you go out of your way to constantly trash talk people, no matter how true the things may be, it really does diminish your own character. It’s one thing chatting to your friends about a girl that likes the same boy as you, but if you get in the habit of speaking too openly, you could say the wrong thing in front of the wrong person and really get yourself into trouble.
Do you want to be known as ‘that bitch that has nothing nice to say about anyone’ NO you don’t. So keep it cute or keep it mute!
It’s hard to be nice all the time but at least have the manners to treat people how they treat you. If someone never done anything bad on you and you’re nasty to them that’s actually bullying. Don’t be that person because guess what? Karma is a bitch and sooner or later it will come back and bite you in the ass.
All jokes aside, I did work in retail and I currently work in a restaurant so I know how hard it is to be nice to customers who are complete…cows. But you just have to bite your tongue and kill them with kindness. Customers are always right and all that.
Regardless of a situation I always try my best to be as nice as I can to people, even when my ego and pride really doesn’t want me to. It’s better to be the person who smiled rather than the person who didn’t smile back! Even when you’re right, sometimes you just have to be the bigger person in order to resolve situations. I’m the type of person who can’t sleep at night when I’m fighting with someone.. get a horrible gut feeling! There’s really nothing worse.
But not everyone you meet in life will have the same outlook as myself. You’ll meet two kinds of people in life, the one’s who bring you up and the one’s who tear you down. In the end you’ll thank them both.
